Dahm Mongkol Hongchai is an Agile coach, a Scrum Master, and a business consultant with 5 years experience in high-tech and Startup industries in Silicon Valley, Thailand, and Australia. He is the first and only Thai to become a Registered Scrum Trainer and a Registered Scrum@Scale Trainer with Scrum Inc. He can certify Registered Scrum Masters (RSM), Registered Product Owners (RPO), and Registered Scrum@Scale Practitioner (RS@SP). He has 16 years of accomplishments with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma in chemical production at Thailand's largest company. He is also an Agile trainer to help people to understand Agile via Agile Cooking, Agile Drawing, Agile Gardening, and Agile Working in the U.S.A, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland.

After graduation from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand, Dahm began working as a mechanical engineer at Vinythai Public Company Limited, Siam Mitsui PTA, and SCG Chemicals. During that time, he gained experience not only in engineering, but also startup business, human resource development, facilitation, and entrepreneurship. He was trained in Constructionism learning theory in Greece and returned to become a learning facilitator at Darunsikhalai School for Innovative Learning in Bangkok.

Dahm earned his Master's degree in Engineering Management at San Jose State University, U.S.A. in 2017. His graduate project was to apply DEMO (Design & Engineering Methodology for Organizations) in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to enhance productivity and efficiency for organizations. As a result, he was one of only two students who are a SAFe 4 Certified Agilist and was the second Thai to earn a DEMO Bachelor certificate from the Enterprise Engineering Institute in the Netherlands.

In the U.S, he has had opportunities to work in growth management at SNDBXapp.com in San Francisco, and as an Agile coach at a public transportation company in California. He worked closely with the President of MaxAgility to produce Agile workshops in AgileCamp Silicon Valley and at Agile Open California 2017. He collaborated with the CEO and the COO of The Job Hackers to create experiential Agile learning opportunities to help people in Silicon Valley to enhance their job prospects. 

 

He is an Agile coach for his startup OCADEE, with clients in the U.S.A, Australia, the TPBI Public Company Limited, and Siam Cement Group (SCG), in Thailand. He is also an Agile Education coach at Darunsikhalai School for Innovative Learning, in Thailand. Dahm is a member of the Agile Alliance, the Scrum Alliance, and the Business Agility Institute. 

 

Dahm has translated Scrum.Org's the Scrum Guide - The Definitive Guide to Scrum: The Rules of the Game (Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland, November 2017) into Thai and Scrum Inc's the Scrum@Scale Guide (Jeff Sutherland & Scrum Inc., 2018). He was trained to be a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in California, U.S.A. by Jeff Sutherland, the father of Scrum and a co-author of the Agile Manifesto. Dahm is the first Thai to qualify for the Scrum@Scale certificate from Jeff Sutherland in Minnesota, U.S.A. He became a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) in San Francisco after attending a class with Eric Rapin, an Agile Coach at Salesforce. He was trained in Agile Foundation and Facilitation for Agilists, and Agile People by Arie van Bennekum, a co-author of the Agile Manifesto. He also was certified in Agile People in Stockholm, Sweden by Pia-Maria Thorén, the author of Agile People. He was a co-trainer of a CSM with Jeff Sutherland in Boston at Scrum Inc.

In 2018, he was a speaker at Agile People, 2018 Sweden and Agile 2018, Hanoi. He was a keynote speaker at Scrum-Day 2019, Stuttgart. Here it is his talk. Recently, his proposal was accepted for Agile 2021 which is the biggest conference in the Agile world. His topic is Come Learn from an Agilist Thai Monk. He invented MeWe for effective communication. It is in 6 languages; Thai, English, Dutch, French, German, and Polish.

 

Fore Agile communities, he hosts Agile Passion meetups in San Francisco, San Jose, and Bangkok, providing supportive Agile learning spaces under the concept of Agile Passion. He dedicates his Fridays for schools and universities in Thailand with his #FreeFriday project to share his Agile experience and improve Thai education for free. He found Agile Passion Dahminar, an online meetup. Many Agilists who are his great and outstanding friends and connections are willing to share Agile experience with audiences from 4 timezones.
